Why you can trust Jack's name — accountability, not points.

Every author at VegasPokie earns a credibility tier from real, checkable work — EV-modelled bonus audits, wagering-requirement maths and verified offers — never from posting volume. Here's where Jack stands.

Who checks Jack's work — and whose work he checks.

Every VegasPokie bonus passes through at least two specialists. Jack's EV maths is cross-checked by our banking analyst and screened for player-harm by our RG lead — then Maeve gives the final editorial sign-off. Accountability runs both ways.

About Jack — and how he got here.

years pricing bonuses for a living — long enough to know that the headline number on a welcome offer almost never matches what the maths actually says it's worth.

About me

I've spent years pricing bonuses — including a stint on the ex-Sportsbet bonus desk, where I priced welcome offers across the Tabcorp portfolio and learned exactly how an operator builds a promo to look generous on the banner while quietly clawing the value back in the terms.

I joined VegasPokie in March 2024 to do the opposite. I verify every wagering requirement, max-bet clause and game-weighting table before a bonus is ever listed — and if the maths doesn't survive that check, the offer doesn't go on the page. I'm the author of our bonus-math methodology, which is the most-cited piece on the site.

If my name is on a bonus listing, I ran the EV model myself — no copied press-release blurbs, no "great value!" without a number behind it.

My experience

years in promo analytics, half of it inside a tier-one Australian bookmaker pricing the offers players see every week. I know how the sausage is made — which is exactly why I'm useful on this side. My areas of depth:

  • Bonus & promo pricing — how operators model an offer's true cost, and where the value really sits.
  • Wagering-requirement modelling — turning a "WRx40" into a realistic expected-value number.
  • Game-weighting & max-bet clause analysis — the fine print that quietly voids most "easy" wins.

What I bring to the table

  • An EV model for every welcome offer. No bonus is listed until I've run the numbers on what it's actually worth.
  • I read the full T&Cs, not the headline. The value lives in the wagering, weighting and time-limit clauses — so that's where I look.
  • I flag predatory clauses and pull offers. A hidden max-bet trap or impossible WR gets the bonus removed, not footnoted.

My vision

A bonus is only good if the maths says so. A "$4,000 welcome package" with a brutal wagering requirement and a low max-bet cap can be worth less than a clean $200 no-deposit offer — and our job is to show you which is which, in plain numbers. See exactly how I run those numbers in the bonus-math methodology.

My goal is simple: that an Australian player never deposits chasing a bonus that the EV model already knows is a trap. If you've spotted a promo with terms that don't add up, drop me a line — I'll run it.
